I always knew there was a call to adventure for me other than Miami's complacent air. I left to Washington DC to follow my dreams of becoming an image maker. Initially this was an overwhelming freedom from confinement. There was a significant shift from being sheltered to experiencing the world first hand. The overexposure to freedom comes with an array of emotions. The leaves change colors and the wind is dry and harsh. Some days I like the way it feels on my skin and other times I miss the heavy humidity in my heart. It is overall a transient experience of loneliness in which I am trying to find my identity while navigating a new location and all of its new inspirations.
